UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus, he confirmed on Twitter. Boris Johnson “Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this,” Johnson said on Twitter.

COVID-19: Kogi closes firm, places Chinese, others on isolation

The Kogi State Government on Thursday ordered the immediate closure of the West Africa Ceramics Limited based in Ajaokuta. The government, through the Task Force it set up in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic, has also set in motion the machinery to monitor the health status of Chinese and other nationals working in the firm. It also placed them under compulsory isolation. The government in a statement by Commissioner for Information and Communcation Kingsley Fanwo, promised to remain on top of situations to keep Login COVID-19 free. The Task Force is headed by Deputy Governor, Mr. Edward Onoja. The coronavirus outbreak has kept many out of jobs and at home with the hope of it ending soon. Birds no longer sound as birds. Rats sound like some other rodents. We first thought it was a joke when China, Italy, Singapore and others started recording fatalities. Even Almighty America did not think much of it. By the time our eyes became open, the Kabah was empty, the ever-busy Times Square was deserted and the beaches in Miami were roaring with no one to dash in and out of them. The Pope has had to be avoiding the crowd and the Umrah regularly performed by Muslims has been cancelled, even the Olympics are postponed. This year’s Hajj is doubtful. Fidelity Bank staff tests positive for coronavirus

A Fidelity Bank staff who recently returned from a trip to the United Kingdom has tested positive for COVID-19 as confirmed in a statement released by the bank. Though the Fidelity Bank staff who tested positive for coronavirus has not been at the bank’s facility as he has been self-isolating since he returned to the country, he however brought some consignments for two of his colleagues which were delivered to them individually.  The bank staff who received consignments from the coronavirus patient, have been made to self-isolate and the office where they work has been temporarily closed. Nigeria has confirmed 14 new cases of the deadly Coronavirus, with the total figure soaring to 65. Twelve of the new cases are in Lagos, according to figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. on Thursday.

Coronavirus: Buhari releases N10bn to Lagos

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has released the sum of N10 billion to Lagos for the battle against deadly Coronavirus. Lagos  has 44 of the 65 cases of Coronavirus reported in Nigeria so far. This is contained in a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu on Thursday, saying, “with regard to the request by the government of Lagos State for financial support to combat and contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Lagos and Nigeria, the President has already approved the sum of N10 billion which release was effected within two days of the request. “The President has also approved and ensured the prompt release of N5 billion special intervention requested by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to equip and expand their facilities and laboratories.” According to the statement, with developing news around the world and in Nigeria on the Coronavirus pandemic, President Buhari advised all Nigerians to follow to the letter the health guideline...
