No fewer than three suspected human parts dealers have been arrested by the operatives of Amotekun corps in Oyo State. LIS News reports that the suspects were arrested for allegedly killing a 73-year-old man. It was gathered that the three suspects connived to kill Adeniyi Adebisi Samuel in Ibadan. The suspects include Olalekan Akande, Ismail Muraina and one other. They were paraded at by Amotekun Corps at Dandaru Area of Mokola in Ibadan on Tuesday. The State Deputy Commandant of Amotekun, Kazeem Akinro, confirmed that the suspects were arrested in connection with the killing of the deceased. Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has made clarifications on her alleged feud with Funke Akindele Bello, her colleague in the industry. Recall that another Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo had accused Akindele-Bello of paying bloggers to discredit Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi’s latest movie. Ogun govt locks out pensioners, civil servants, corpers during protest

The Ogun State Government on Wednesday locked protesting pensioners out of the Oke-Mosan governor’s office in Abeokuta, the state capital. The pensioners, under the auspices of the Local Government Pensioners Association of Nigeria (LOGPAN), led by their Chairman, Sikiru Ayilara, are protesting non-payment of gratuities, lateness and non-increment in their monthly pensions and discrimination against them and the state pensioners by the Governor Dapo Abiodun government. Recall that the local government pensioners had in June thronged the office of the state Governor after “many unreplied letters to him” about their complaints. They had made known their plan to picket the government secretariat by sleeping and cooking in front of Abiodun’s office. BREAKING: Unknown gunmen kill two policemen in Enugu

Gunmen have attacked a police checkpoint in Enugu State, killing two policemen. LIS News gathered that the incident occurred at a police checkpoint in Nachi, Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State. The two policemen were said to have died on the spot. Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the attack, said the Command had commenced an action to track down the killers of the cops. “Full scale investigation that will lead to fishing out of the assailants has commenced. Further development will be communicated, please,” he said. This came a few weeks after a similar incident claimed the lives of four policemen in Amaechi Awkunanaw area of the state. Police arrest notorious female fraudster in Kano

Police in Kano State have arrested a 32-year-old woman, Fati Umar Dikko, of Rijiyar Zaki Quarters, Gwale LGA, who had specialised in defrauding people in Kano and environs. Spokesman of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the arrest in a statement. He said police received complaints from many people that a woman went to their shops in different addresses and made transactions and sent them fake alerts. Kiyawa said following a credible intelligence report, the police succeeded in arresting the suspect while trying to collect another material she bought using a fake credit alert. He said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect specialized in showing fake alerts to her victims. Kiyawa said the suspect confessed to the crime and had defrauded many people of millions of Naira. He said the suspect will be charged to court upon completion of investigation. LIS New
